House of Commons Page Program: An opportunity for our young people
The recruitment campaign runs until December 3, 2018
October 1, 2018 – Laval, Quebec – Angelo Iacono, MP for Alfred-Pellan, is proud to announce the launch of the House of Commons Page Program recruitment campaign for 2019-2020.
The Page Program provides an opportunity for 40 full-time students enrolled in their first year of studies at one of the four universities in the National Capital Region to work part time as pages. It is a high-quality work experience in Canada’s political institutions. It is a chance for young Canadians to discover how Parliament works and to play a role in it.
Pages provide various services to Members of Parliament, the Speaker and Chair Occupants, and Table Officers. For example, Pages collect and distribute official documents, deliver messages to Members, and serve as a link between Members and their Hill offices.
Angelo Iacono, MP for Alfred-Pellan, invites all students interested in the House of Commons Page Program to visit the website to obtain all the information they need to apply. Applications must be submitted by December 3, 2018.
