Support for Alfred-Pellan’s seniors clubs
The government of Canada allocates grants through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP)
April 17, 2018 – Laval – Seniors make significant and valuable contributions to their families, communities and society. The Government of Canada remains committed to empowering seniors across Canada so they can contribute to and share in the prosperity of the country.
Seniors clubs are organizations that improve the quality of life and the autonomy of senior citizens. Angelo Iacono, Member of Parliament for Alfred-Pellan, on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, is proud to announce that three seniors clubs of his riding will receive financial contributions. This support will help organizations to acquire or replace equipment and conduct facility renovations in order to pursue their activities.
The following organizations will receive a federal grant for their projects through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP):
These projects promote positive aging by supporting seniors’ volunteerism and encouraging seniors to play an active role in their communities. This innovative program enhances seniors’ social well-being and enables them to maintain social ties and share their knowledge, skills and experience with others.
