The Parliament of Canada is the federal legislative branch of Canada, seated at Parliament Hill in the national capital, Ottawa, Ontario. Ottawa is located in eastern Ontario, on the south bank of the Ottawa River, facing the Quebec city of Gatineau. It now became the place for federal institutions of the country, such as the Parliament, the residences of the Governor General and the Prime Minister.
